Dollarama Walkout

I have 1.5 hours in between my parenting duties. So I drove to a Dollarama hopefully to find something good and inexpensive. There is a nearby Nissan dealership so I decided to recharge my father's Leaf and walk five minutes in the rain to the Dollarama. I also have a $5 off $30 offer from my American Express credit card. I have found something, along with $30 worth of gift cards. I must use the in-person cashier check out because of buying gift card. There was a person in front of me trying to unbreak her coins. So both of us waited for help. A good five minutes later, a lady came along. She refused the person in front of me. I didn't expect that because my cashiering experience tell me cashiers constantly need to get coins from the bank. The person's request actually help reduced cashier's workload. Anyway, my turn next. Family Day

Image
Today is family day here in Vancouver. It's a day we set aside for our family. It's a long weekend, so some might spend the time traveling to create memories. That would set one back some dimes. It was February 13th when men desperately search for anything that please their partners for Valentine's Day. I have experienced it today, one day too late.  Ma's work involve much talking, as I was planning to start my blog today. I have found it fitting to do that somewhere else. So, I borrowed my parent's electric car to drive to IKEA with my computer with greedy mind. You see, IKEA restaurants provides decent WIFI, electrical outlet and, most important of all, free coffee. It is a the second best office space for word processing, the best being the balconies of any five star hotels in the Bahamas. The restaurant usually has ample seats, but not today. Today, half of the restaurant was blocked off, getting to host IKEA annual Valentine's Day dinner. Right, something in life is more important than researching on blogging. Hint hint: it is time for a different kind of research,...

Making Ends Meet First Post

Who we are As bloggers, we are rookies; as survivors, we are battle tested. Since financially separated from our parents, we have experienced two economic crisis. Typical family of four, we have no family trusted funds or advanced university degrees to gain a nifty foothold for ourselves. We are doing a great job financially today. We are your everyday ma and pa struggling through life, but we don't deprive ourselves some luxury once in a while.  Our Mission By starting this blog, we hope to share our experience in our journey to accumulate wealth. There are many financial blogs out there, such as  The Million Dollar Journey. We are big fan of those. We read and continue to try some of their recommendations. Ma will introduce what works and what not for us. What set us apart is our desire to make the journey fun and humanly possible. Pa will walk you through his daily routine to try to stretch our financial resource. We have completed our million dollar journey ourselves. Like...
